New Head Appointment at Senior School

Bruern Abbey Senior School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Kate Walker as the incoming Head in September 2024. With a wide experience in education, Mrs Walker brings a fantastic energy drive for academic development and nurturing individual students' passions.

Formerly the Housemistress and Head of English at Repton School, Mrs Walker has played a pivotal role in expanding the English department at Repton School, a co-educational boarding and day school. Her dedication to creating a supportive learning environment will be exciting to see at Bruern.

In addition to her role at Repton School, Mrs Walker has served as a Governor at Terra Nova Preparatory School in Cheshire, showcasing her commitment to educational leadership beyond the classroom. This experience gives her a rounded perspective on school governance, further enhancing her ability to lead and grow the Senior School.
