Over the past term, the Lower Juniors have taken part in creating work for a Christmas display which has been displayed in the Coach House at Waddesdon Manor. In September, we read the book 'The Lights that Dance in the Night' by Yuval Zommer and were asked to create birds using paper plates to feature in the display.
The Barn Owls, Peregrines and Kites got creative and had a wonderful time creating our bird masterpieces with feathers and glitter which were then sent off to Waddesdon.
Yesterday, the boys had a wonderful day out at Waddesdon. Initially, exploring the woodland playground before stopping for lunch and then taking part in a bauble design and create activity. Then we got to see all our artwork showcased in the Coach House and we were truly blown away with how amazing it all looked! Sophie from Waddesdon, told us that there were over 80 schools involved in the project with 14500 children contributing in some way. Wow!
We finished our day with a walk through the lights in the dark and the rain!! May I say what a delight it was to take the boys and what a wonderful day! Thank you, boys!
