Trips
Levels of excitement were revving up as we arrived at the world famous Silverstone Race Circuit and home to Silverstone Interactive Museum. Housed in a former RAF hangar, our visit took us on an exciting historical journey through the past, present and future of Silverstone and British motor sport.
Here we got to learn about the engineering and technology that has changed the world of motor sport. We explored the science involved in aerodynamics looking at forces and motion and the maths skills needed to design and build an F1 car. From calibrating systems and making decisions about racing strategy, there was lots to discuss and experiment with. We even got to walk along the famous race track. Highlight of the day was watching sports cars of all types and eras take to the track and unleash their amazing power and speed. Much formula fun was had by all!
