On the sunny afternoon of Thursday, the Barn Owls headed towards Rollright stones in Chipping Norton to embrace their knowledge of the Neolithic and Bronze Age, that they are currently learning in History & Art. Each boy entered the site by offering a £1 coin to help upkeep the conservation of this historical location. We visited the three monuments on site by discussing the folktales of the Whispering & the King stone and the boys got to draw their own perspective on the King's Men stone circle. The boys finished off their trip with hot chocolate and cake at Wyatt's tearoom and received a 10/10 for their good behaviour by other Wyatt's customers. Overall, a great afternoon for the Barn Owls, Mrs Hunter, and Miss Munns, filled with sunshine, goodies, and ancient adventures!
