The day started well when we won the toss and elected to bat first. All players were able to contribute some runs. Pierce G contributed strongly finding the boundary twice in his 4 overs. Lewis M hit a lovely boundary and followed it up with a magnificent pull shot that cleared the boundary for 6! We were able to post a score of 100 runs. After a lovely match tea we stepped back onto the field, we fielded well and bowled accurately and were able to limit Ashfold to 95 runs. The boys were overjoyed with their victory, this was the first time that many of the boys had represented Bruern in a fixture. While winning was lovely the best part of the match was the spirit in which it was played. The boys complemented the opposition when they played a good shot or bowled well which was lovely to witness. Well done boys!
