With the Upper Sixth away an all Lower Sixth team turned out to face the return fixture against New College. Captain Mathew W won the toss and elected to bowl. We started extremely well with Will B and Dante K opening the bowling, both bowled economically before Tom B entered the attack taking 2 quick wickets. Our ground fielding and throwing was amazing, we had two run outs from direct hits from Mathew W and Tom B and countless throws hitting the stumps although the batsmen were safe. New College ended their innings on 134.
Our Innings got off to a promising start, Tom B pulled the first ball for four and followed suit with the second only to pick out square leg who took a good catch. Arki T, and Mathew W fell to good deliveries. A special mention to Frank R who batted all 20 overs against a strong bowling attack. We fell short of New College's total but a very good performance and a lot of positives to take away from it.
