An enthusiastic group of colts travelled to Abingdon Prep school on Wednesday afternoon, opening their cricket season with a fantastic game where lots of skill and talent were on show! All boys displayed their newly developed fielding awareness and ability which had been practised in the week, as well as some ambitious batting in pairs. New recruits Kit T and Duke M got stuck in from the beginning and contributed excellently to the squad in all areas of the game, Eddie H showed good motion and improvement in his bowling, whilst James G and Otto J both also had great overs whilst batting, all to name but a few brilliant excerpts from a very positive game. Despite a narrow loss and some cold weather, the boys remained very happy and showed themselves to be wonderful ambassadors for the school. We really look forward to seeing a lot more from this group!
