An away day at the most beautiful football ground in Oxford…some would say the perfect Wednesday. The game started in a very lively manner with both teams having several chances to break the deadlock. Bruern demonstrated skill-full tactics, making it an engaging and evenly matched spectacle for all. Eventually it was Magdalen who managed to get their noses out in front.
It didn’t take Bruern long to get back on level terms, as Ebu B-K scored a wonderful volley! The score remained the same until just before half time when Magdalen managed to muster a counter attack. As Bruern fled forward, this time there was nothing the defenders could do to stop it and score was 2-1 at half time.
Despite a hard-fought first half, Magdalen College ultimately secured a convincing victory with a final score of 6-1. Bruern Abbey's resilience was evident, but Magdalen's effective performance in the second half secured their triumph in an otherwise competitive encounter.
