On Wednesday afternoon, The Colts Blue team had their final football fixture of the calendar year. They came up against a very strong Cothill side. Nevertheless, the boys gave their best efforts and there were lots of positives to take from the match.
Cothill started the game with the majority of possession and looked dangerous in the early stages. Sam D was impressive between the sticks and made some important saves. Despite another impressive performance by James G, we found ourselves trailing at halftime. After a quick team talk and reiterating a few tactics, the boys were back out and ready to go for the second half.
The second half was a lot more promising from a Bruern perspective as we started to play some attractive football. Special mentions must go to Oscar O and Max T who played their first football matches of the year for Bruern. Despite looking threatening, we couldn't find the back of the net and we came second to a very well-structured opposition.
Despite this, the boys all loved it and were a real credit to themselves. Thank you to all the parents that came down to watch. It was brilliant to see so many of you present.
Well done lads this half of term! I look forward to picking up where we left off towards to back end of next term. Have a lovely break gents.
