Bruern hosted Abingdon Prep for this week's football fixture. With it being the first time this term of having a mixed upper school squad the boys gelled really quickly. Abingdon started strong, capitalised on a few early errors and, went 3-0 up in next to no time. I have to admit the response from Bruern could not have been any better. Nate W boosted the team with plenty of energy before opening the scoring for Bruern with a curling shot into the corner. We were back in the game with the score of at 4-1 going into half-time. Our focus for the second half was trying to put Abingdon under pressure and try and win the second half. Things started well when a Noah E shot was deflected in for our second. Nate W scored his second goal from a great kick by keeper Max M but unfortunately Abingdon was just to strong.
Final score, Bruern 3 Abingdon 7.
