On Wednesday afternoon, the Colts Blue team headed to Oratory Prep for a football tournament! We were welcomed with sunshine and blue skies before stepping out into the pitch for our first match. A huge shout out goes to Louis V and Luke G who participated in their first football match for the season. Luke G showed exceptional efforts in attack which resulted in a few shots on target! Louis V helped our awesome goalkeeper, Alfie M, stop numerous goals flying through the net with their tremendous defence!
Our striker, George G, also managed a few shots on target, which were beautifully assisted by his wing man in attack, Alfie BK. The ability to mark an opposing player and stick to them is not always easy, so I am super impressed with Thomas B and James G who continuously put pressure on the opposition using this defence. Despite a loss in each match, it was our best play of football yet!
The boys really came together as a team and progressed together in each match. I have been so lucky to coach these boys over the short but exciting football season. I hope you all have a well-deserved easter break and I will see you all for cricket next term!
