On Sunday Bruern took 10 boys to The Junior Schools National Grass Championships 2023 at The Oxford Polo Ground. We had 3 teams competing and all were very successful. The sun was shining and it is fair to say I think a few of us got a bit burnt..!
Our Green team was made up of Henry D, Hayes F and Dante K. All of whom did exceptionally well. They finished the tournament 3rd in their group. Special mention must go to Henry D who scored 3 times in just one chukka!
Our Red Team consisted of Tom E, Monte F and Aidan P, who was acknowledged by the tournament officials for all of his help in between each chukka. These boys played some impressive polo and managed to secure another 3rd place finish in their group for Bruern.
Finally The Blue Team was made up of Boe Browne, Teddy CF, Oscar D and Frank R. These boys were also victorious achieving 2nd place overall in their group! They narrowly lost to a strong girl side who were a lot older than them in their final match.
Overall it was a great day for staff, parents and boys in which we saw Bruern achieve a podium finish in each team. Thanks to Miss Hunter Jnr and Mrs Swift for all of their help in the build up and of course on the day. Well done all!
