Rugby 8s Tag: Colts Green v Chesterton School [H]

The Colts Green team's final inter-school game was a Chesterton rivalry tag rugby showdown! The junior boys played at home on an afternoon with lovely rugby conditions. The Bruern boys opened up the scoring, quickly getting to work and putting 2 tries past Chesterton, though it didn't take long before Chesterton stepped up and returned 1 try too. The game was very back and forth and well contested; Bruern went into halftime with Chesterton hot on their heels only one try behind. As the second half began, Chesterton quickly swung into action and put two past Bruern, edging ahead, before Bruern responded with some improved interlinking play and passes, as well as some brilliant space-finding individual runs. This was a whole team effort and a fun game where the boys were able to showcase their skills away from the contact game.

It has been a brilliant rugby season for the juniors this year, with a lot of development on show, on an individual level but more so as a team and in playing for each other. It has been brilliant to see your sons come out of their shells more and build in confidence whilst representing the school. Well done to the boys who played on Wednesday, as well as all junior boys who have represented the school in rugby this year.
