On Wednesday afternoon, the red team headed to Ashfold for a frosty game of touch rugby. Finlay C was our captain for the game and did an awesome job at encouraging the team to work together and communicate, considering lots of the boys hadn’t played as a group before! Our very own speedy Jack P scored two beautiful tries in the first half. This was as well as Finlay C who registered a further two tries in the first half due to his impressive strides across the field. By the second half, the team really came together as the team worked hard at putting pressure on Ashfold who started scoring their own tries. A big shoutout to Ralph W and Arthur M who showed no mercy in delivering touches against Ashfold. George G, Louis V and Adam H ran the field superbly, always supporting teammates from behind and being available in open spaces. Ebu K and Henry W’s ability to keep possession of the ball was also very effective in getting the ball into our half. Although we were unlucky this week, I am so proud of the boys for going out there and just having a good time. They did not give up and that’s all I could ask for as a coach!
