We travelled away, on Monday, to MCS Oxford for our second game of the season. Upon arrival the boys were very keen to get some drop goal practice in over the posts with both sides deciding to add some kicking into the game for good practice. We were unfortunately unable to take any subs due to illness and injury, we knew we were in for a tough game and needed to preserve energy where possible.
Before kick-off we spoke about making a quick start and being the first team to put the points on the board and the boys delivered. Quickly going up by 2 tries and putting together good phases of play. We were strong throughout the game defensively and towards the end, MCS managed to break quickly on the wings and scored. It certainly was a fantastic performance from the boys and despite some tired legs towards the end they all dug deep and kept up with the pace of the game. Match tea was very much enjoyed by all after a strong 9 - 4 win from the Bruern boys. Well done lads!
